If you’re planning to sell your house for removal or relocation, we’re here to help. We’ll take your old home off your hands, and arrange removal to give other families a chance at a new home. Our Free Appraisal service includes visiting your home and providing a valuation for what we can offer.
Preparing for a house appraisal can be simple with a few proactive steps. These tips will streamline the process, making it faster and easier for both you and us – a win-win situation!
1. Book your Asbestos Testing
Asbestos might sound intimidating, but addressing it early is important. Schedule your asbestos testing before the appraisal to identify any areas containing asbestos. This proactive step helps us streamline the process for your appraisal. If you haven’t conducted the testing, don’t worry – we’ll identify suspected areas during the appraisal and guide you on next steps.
2. Have your Floor Plans Ready
Having floor plans ready can greatly enhance and streamline the appraisal process. If you already have floor plans, please share them with us. We’ll use them to help potential buyers visualise the space and layout of your home when they view it on our website. Floor plans are a powerful tool for showcasing your relocatable house’s potential. If you don’t have floor plans, don’t worry – our team will take care of creating them for you.
3. Ensure Easy Access to the Power Board and Under Floorboards
On the day of the appraisal, ensure that we can easily access your power switchboard and the area beneath your house. Our Sales Consultant needs to inspect these areas, so try to clear any obstacles in advance to avoid delays.
4. Get Your House Photo Ready
Make sure your home looks its best for the appraisal. Refer to our guide “Maximise Your Home’s Appeal: 10 Tips for Listing Photos That Sell”. We’ll be taking photos for marketing purposes, and high-quality images are essential for attracting buyers. A well-presented house can sell much faster, so take the time to clean, declutter and enhance your home’s visual appeal.
5. Highlight Improvements
If you’ve made any significant improvements to your home, such as remodeling the kitchen or upgrading the bathrooms, make sure to point these out to our Sales Consultant during the appraisal. If possible, provide documentation and receipts for any upgrades or renovations. Improvements can be highlighted in your house listing, enhancing the appeal to buyers.
6. Enhance Curb Appeal
First impressions matter, so make sure the exterior of your home looks inviting. Trim the lawn, weed the garden and consider adding some potted plants or flowers to enhance curb appeal.
By following these tips, you’ll ensure a smooth and efficient house appraisal, making it easier for both you and us. Happy preparing!
