DESIGN TECHNICIAN - DRAUGHTSPERSON, AUCKLAND LOCATION

We are a company focused on environmental sustainability and building better communities, through making sure pre-loved houses can have a second life in a new location. At The Relocatable Home Co. we buy and sell pre-loved houses and assist the new owners to move these homes to their new location. We are looking for a drafty to join our design team. The work is exciting and varied. No two sites are the same and no two houses are the same. We have a great drafting team based in both Mt Maunganui and Auckland and if this industry sounds exciting to you, we’d love to hear from you.

You will need to have the following skills

  • A National Diploma in Architectural Technology or BArch
  • Solid knowledge of the NZ Building Code and NZS 3604:2011
  • Over five years’ experience preferably in residential
  • Experience with Archicad
  • Experience in dealing with customers, suppliers and stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience in researching and interpreting planning rules across Councils
  • Ability to read and interpret professional reports and translate these accurately into compliant plans and consent applications
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to learn and develop in the role
  • A sense of fun

SITE FOREMAN

The Relocatable Home Co. is a creative and innovative business born out of hands-on experience relocating houses in New Zealand.

The experienced team at TRHCo. is well versed in all aspects of house relocation, possessing the ability to guide our clients through any relocation project from a single minor dwelling on private land through to large asset disposal developments.

The key driver for TRHCo. is to be professional and effective in the house relocation business, meaning fewer houses are demolished, resulting in more New Zealanders being able to own their own home creating better family environments, better communities and better futures.

Position:

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join our team based in Auckland.

We are looking for someone to establish and manage our house relocation gear truck and oversee a dedicated team supporting the house removal industry with:

  • Prepping houses for relocation
  • Re-piling houses
  • Onsite shifts
  • House deconstruction

Ideally you will have:

  • Knowledge of and experience in the construction/house removal industry (minimum of 5 years’ experience)
  • A current up to date LBP Licence (Foundations essential, Carpentry would be nice)
  • Experience managing a team. How you fit with the culture of our Group is critical.
